Understanding Your Credit
The government requires the credit bureaus to provide free copies of your credit reports once a year, but not credit scores or monitoring. Yet some companies offer free reports and scores on their Web sites, often to entice customers to sign up for monitoring. And not all scores are created equal - many free scores are meant as a guide for consumers and are not actually used by lenders to assess your creditworthiness.

As the graph in the link above illustrates, lenders do not use the FAKO Scores such as TrueCredit,  FreeCreditReport and Zendough. FICO Scores are the only scores lenders use. All others are a waste of your time and money. You are best served with independent counsel on improving your credit scores and protecting your identity. We provide such counsel for your benefit.

You can obtain the free government mandated credit report from all three major credit repositories on an annual basis. www.annualcreditreport.com or 1-877-322-8228
